    The double-speak in the article is confusing. It states that the city says it’s not related to migrants, and then states that it struggles to house 70k migrants each night. It’s not both, and the scene outside of the Roosevelt Hotel has barely improved in months.

    I’m not blaming migrants. They have no options. The problem is the inability of our Congress to provide contemporary immigration reform that fits the needs of a very different nation than the one our immigration system was designed around in 1986.

    Democratic citizens often fail to turn out to congressional elections. Please, make note of the dates for your state and vote. No one wants or deserves to seek amnesty in a subway or on a sidewalk.
