Why threaten to cancel? Why play games? Just cancel.
Fun fact, by canceling you need to pay a fee unless you jump through some hoops first.
For anyone who wishes to cancel their Adobe plan(s):
-
Change your subscription to another kind - either cheaper or more expensive. You the subscription will be locked for about 5 minutes while it processes, then it will unlock and you can now manage it. Go into the manage subscription page and cancel it. Because you renewed with a new plan, you can now make use of the fee-free cancellation window and any charges applied will refund.
-
If that fails or you don’t want to go that route for whatever reason, you can contact customer support and request the cancellation fee be waived. I’ve seen a few people say they had success with this. If they still decline you, threaten to report them to your regional consumer protections agency, the press, legal sources, etc. Companies hate bad PR and would rather just waive your fee than deal with you.

Not if you pirate their software
File that chargeback. Early termination fees are BS.
I didn’t threaten. I cancelled.
I cancelled and purchased Affinity Photo 2.
This is the way.
Also, it’s currently 50% off https://affinity.serif.com/
noting that Adobe’s terms for licensing content are typical for every cloud content company
Adobe, you’re not a cloud content company. You’re a software company.
One of our c suite went to a conference and got wowed by a booth that used cloud AI services to generate crypto on a refrigerator so now we’re also a cloud company.
Punishment must be severe or they will absolutely try again but in a more sly way
Companies should move on from Adobe
The design department in my company uses all Adobe products. Any sort of terms like this means my company can’t use the service.
