.ml promoting china how predictable
This means literally nothing, but when I cropped the image to ~2023 and presented it to Claude, then asked it to extrapolate, it was even more generous.
I’m not a .ml shill, but you gotta admit that china has a good influence on the global market for green energy. They’re flooding the market with cheap solar panels. They’re building massive wind farms and solar farms at a dizzying speed. They are leading by example. It sure seems nice to be able to just decide to do stuff without months or years of bureaucratic bullshit beforehand or pesky labor laws. There’s a lot of things wrong with china, but there’s also good things. It’s almost as if things are not simply black and white.
They are also flooding markets with cheap(er) EVs. Unfortunately governments are doing what they can to make those more expensive through tariffs and import controls.
Per capita is dropping like a stone but overall emissions are increasing, unlike in the UK who is lagging behind their 2030 goals but emissions are dropping at a good rate.
