I won’t deny that the Israelis have shown a callous attitude to the lives of Palistinians and that the US needs to be way more critical regarding their support for Israel.

That being said there are two points that greatly undermine the message of this article.

Hamas decided to target random civilians. Even if the reaction was 100% the same (i.e. genocidal invasion by the Israelis), they would have a level of moral clarity if they targeted the military, business leadership, administration and so on. By killing random civilians, they have discredited their cause.

The attempt to win points via the Russian invasion of Ukraine. If that’s the best you’re capable of, then maybe your argument isn’t that strong to start with.

I also wonder what percentage of the Palestinians support russia’s full scale invasion of Ukraine.
