When I worked at the front desk of a hotel, and a young adult who was all dressed up asked for a band aid, I always gave them out in pairs. They were probably going to a wedding, and breaking in new shoes. I knew if one foot was bothering them, the other foot would be hurting soon.

In fact, I often gave them several pairs, because their friends would likely need them, too.
