The Siege of Syracuse (877–878) was a significant military conflict during the Arab-Byzantine wars. It was led by the Aghlabids, an Arab dynasty that ruled over Ifriqiya (modern-day Tunisia, Libya, and eastern Algeria) against the Byzantine Empire.
