      Yes, I believe this particular system is one of SAAB’s based on the design of the laser emitter (I’m not an expert on UK training gear though), but all the laser training designs essentially work the same. A strip with receivers is tied to the helmet, vest with receivers is worn over over the normal gear. Laser emitter box attached to the rifle which fires a laser when a blank is fired. If a person is “killed” their vest beeps and their laser doesn’t fire anymore.

      Some of the newer systems can do things like integrate with GPS to give observers a map view of where everyone is, and allow them to playback how a simulation went for training purposes.
