Big Max fan, but he is at fault for that turn. Other turns with the fight with Hamilton you can see how he was going too fast, running wide of the corners. The stress of the weekend got to him and he bombed, literally dive bombed that turn in the collision with Hamilton.

Yeah, he had been overdriving the car for half the race trying to make passes. A lockup and collision isn’t surprising at that point.

More surprised neither of them had any damage

Funny thing is that Max has said for various races already that he cannot keep overdriving the car for every race. That it’ll eventually cause problems.

More surprised neither of them had any damage

It felt fake (like it was from a game) because of that. Max could’ve lost quite a few points today. And same for previous race.

This was 100% on Max. 2021 divebomb. However, if you compare this with Austria, Max avoided contact on the first divebomb Lando tosses. Lewis did turn in very early which caused the contact. This could have been avoided. So I also see it as a race incident, but I think deep down Lewis didn’t mind launching Max into orbit. Considering their rivalry, I can even understand it.

So, no Lewis bashing here, just stating the fact that he did turn early. Max went again in to short term tactical thinking iso being patient and look big picture. But his emotions got the most of him.
