I have my complaints about season 1, but I’ll always be greatful for this adaptation to pull me into this fandom.
I am really looking forward to it.
Imma stock up on copium in the industrial amounts. Not that I found season 1 to be that bad (even as a book reader). But hopefully it can become better
I was really digging season 1 warts and all until we hit the finale. And the longer it’s sat with me the more I’m bummed that they’re going to cut up my favorite book, The Great Hunt and glue it together with TDR.
I loved both books as well, but for tv abbridging the hunt and the chase for Rand makes a lot of sense. I hope we still see the big events but there is a lot of world building that can be done differently in both books.
Unlikely to happen as much as you’re fearing, I think. People have blown the “books 2 and 3” thing out of proportion in my opinion.
Yeah, I remember thinking “This is different, but I get it” right up until the last episode.
TGH is my favorite book as well. Honestly, if what we see in the trailer is of any indication, I think season 2 will be mostly TGH, and only being the essentials of TDR needed for the foundations of Shadow Rising.
I won’t watch it as I really disliked S01, but I hope it will be better and bring in more people into the fandom.
It’s a bit sad that I haven’t ever met anyone irl who has read the books, and the only people who have heard of it, only heard of the awful tv show.
