How would the United States feel if Russia surrounded the U.S. with missiles and military bases?

The only reason Russia cares if the US does it to them is either: they want to invade the country like they did Ukraine or they are upset that other countries don’t like them and accept their influence.
The US isn’t going to directly attack Russia and Russia isn’t going to directly attack the US. MAD would kick in and no one survives that. Both countries know this.
I don’t care if Russia parka a couple of warships in Cuba. I don’t care if Russian bombers fly along the border. They’ve been doing it for decades. We’ve been doing it to them for decades. Nothing will come of it.
This sort of thing happens because everyone around Russia got sick of Russia’s crap and practically begged to join NATO. This is a self-inflicted situation. Unrelated, but saying that you were “forced” to invade a sovereign nation because an unrelated alliance pissed you off is completely invalid.
The US isn’t surrounding Russia. The countries that surround Russia aren’t changing. The only thing changing is that they’re joining a group that says if you attack one of them, the others will defend you. Why would Russia have a problem with that if they aren’t going to attack their neighbors?
