I was sad when we traded Sam. I’m happy he’s been getting minutes and some success on St. Louis. Just wish he could be doing it for us instead…

Well thought through but depressing… I think the “more than sum of the parts” piece is really what’s missing. We had a little taste of it with the comeback win against the Whitecaps. But I miss the days when, if we went down early, you felt like the team was going to scrap and adapt and push for a goal. Now, my expectation is that we’ll control possession, squander a handful of chances, and give up a second goal after a defensive lapse. I don’t know what’s changed, but it’s not great.
Also, continually having our asses handed to us by the Timbers has not helped my enthusiasm for the big moments and rivalry matches…
