    Medical training in the US is rife with nepotism. It’s extremely frustrating to see especially when the nepo babies are shitty individuals

      As an RN I would jump at the chance to become a doctor. But that also mean going through six years of college again. Which I have no interest in. I am just glad I can contract out and go where the money is. But that is the capitalist in me.

        Medical school is only 4 years unless you get a phd on top. The residencies are 3+ years. And they’re extremely expensive which only adds to the nepotism

          In the US it is 6 for doctors. For nurses its LPN at 1 and RN at 2.

            No, US med school is 4 years graduate education, vs the Commonwealth model which is 6 years undergraduate.

            No, its 4 years of undergrad followed by 4 years of medical school followed by 3+ of residency. Source: I went to med school in the states

              I went to be an RN and did mine in 2 but of course there were no semesters it was a full year spring summer fall. Where are you stationed at?

                Sorry, but I won’t be saying where I’m at for residency because it would then be very easy to dox me. There are very few residents at any given program
