    That’s very good.

Also happened to watched a documentary last night about the The Kerry babies case, and your drawing instantly reminded me of the wrongly accused Joanne Hayes, so even the name you gave it fits:

    Joanne Hayes

      Thank you!

Wow this case is grim on so many levels.

        You’re very welcome!

And yeah, it really is awful, almost sorry I had to link it, but the image just shared such a striking resemblance (in my mind, anyway!) and I thought some context would help since she isn’t otherwise well known.

This is cute and kind of morbid at the same time. Pastels? Er, oil pastels? Charcoal…actually…probably. Right? I just see all the smooshy and I think about what an asshole pastels are to control. Cause they’re totally assholes. Kinda reminds me a smoosh between primitive art, anime gals, and the faces in those tiles they found in Spain. Which apparently was a hoax…goodbye one more fun thing from my childhood. Boo!

Charcoal! Super messy but still my favourite traditional medium.

I like when you work with charcoal that it steadily works its way everywhere in your surroundings. Hahaha! I used to have an easel setup and all I did was smudge charcoal all over it and underneath it, it looked like a slew of tiny black smudgey ants were lined up (because the charcoal would fall off the paper and slide down into one little uniform pile). It still makes me happy to think about =)
