Tostada (1960s): $2.19
Green Burrito (1970s): $2.49.
Meximelt (1980s): $2.99.
Beef Gordita Supreme (1990s): $2.99
Caramel Apple Empanada (2000s): $2.99.Hot damn the caramel apple empanadas were awesome! When I used to go snow camping in Boy Scouts we’d buy a few of them and individually vacuum seal them. During the trip you’d dunk a pouch in boiling water and a few minutes later you’d have a really delicious dessert.
The tostada left the menu when the comparatively worse but more expensive Mexican pizza and it’s juggernaut marketing campaign kicked in.
Also the Barranca location has the online exclusive “Build your own luxe cravings box” for $5.99. Other locations have it for $7.99 or more.
