Toyota confirmed that its network was breached after a threat actor leaked an archive of 240GB of data stolen from the company’s systems on a hacking forum.

    This is one of the many reasons why it should be illegal for companies to gather and/or store more data than is critical to fulfill the agreed upon functionality, which in the case of a car is zero data. They don’t need any data at all, yet they’re hoarding everything they can get their dirty paws on.

    “Contents: Everything like Contacts, Finance, Customers, Schemes, Employees, Photos, DBs, Network infrastructure, Emails, and a lot of perfect data. We also offer you AD-Recon for all the target network with passwords.”
