Looks really promising. I’m glad they kept the headphone jack, I use mine all the time. OIS and the improved point-and-shoot camera are big selling points. I also appreciate the attention to details like its classic design (no notch or pinhole!) and plastic-free packaging.

Yes it should be fantastic. I have the Xperia 10iii and it’s a great phone. The 10V has better camera’s and OIS as well as a newer processor and bigger battery, so it should be great for most people. I get 2 day battery life on mine which has a 4500mAh battery, so the 10V with the 5000mAh battery should go even longer…

i always hear about how good new phone batteries are… but i think im just such a “power user” that i never get a full days battery life. always browsing the web, taking pictures, watching youtube, playing games.

I’ve gone through 4 phones, each time saying “well, clearly my old battery was bad since it died so quickly, im sure my new… will be better” and each time its roughly the same.

I think with very heavy use most phones will still only last 1 day. But it should be a full day i.e. From 7am to 11pm

If you’re getting less than that you must be a very heavy user or maybe your screen is too bright or too many things are running in the background.

If you have apps which are always checking for notifications etc, that will use more battery because the app has to wake up every x minutes/hours and contact it’s servers.

Using mobile data instead of WiFi will also drain the battery alot faster, so keep that in mind too.

yea, if i use it less, i get a day easily. It doesnt help that i set my max charge to 85%, and recharge it at 25% (to protect the battery), giving me only 60% battery!

Yes. I charge to 100% because it lasts longer. Also, Sony slows down the charging after 90% to help battery life so you can charge to 100 without negatively impacting the battery.
