Mark Zuckerberg says he regrets that Facebook bowed to Biden administration pressure to censor content, saying in a letter that the interference was “wrong” and he plans to push back if it happens again.
The company CEO aired his grievances in a letter Monday to the House Judiciary Committee in response to its investigation into content moderation on online platforms. Zuckerberg detailed how senior administration officials leaned on the company to censor certain posts about Covid-19, including humor and satire, and “expressed a lot of frustration” when the social media platform resisted.
Jimmy and investigative journalist and author Chris Hedges discuss the reasons behind the Biden administration’s push to censor COVID-related content and why Zuckerberg may be publicly admitting to caving now.
