William Majcher, 60, “allegedly used his knowledge and his extensive network of contacts in Canada to obtain intelligence or services to benefit the People’s Republic of China,” the RCMP in Montreal said in the news release.

The story is still developing as the news release was just dropped.

Curious to see if uncovering these kinds of operations becomes more common. I suspect these kinds of stories are going to be more frequent. For one, there is more public interest in them. For two, it seems there has been a slow escalation in respect to foreign interference over the last decade or more.
