Everyone seems eager to blame members of the roster but I honestly I really don’t think that’s their issue. This series’ drafts sucked ass, and felt just as confused as in spring. Like they’re picking things that don’t make any sense together; these felt like solo que drafts.

It feels possible that the play styles for the different players here just don’t line up in the current meta, but why the hell is berzerker on ziggs? Why did they pick the leblank into a team comp that completely shuts it down? Why did they pick Miss fortune without enough meaningful setup to lock people down in her ulti? The team’s identity and playstyle just feels so confused, and their drafts have been completely troll

It wasn’t that long ago when I’m pretty sure they also drafted full ad and promptly lost when everyone on the other team built Steelcaps. I wish I could remember which series it was.

You still see glimpses of how capable these players are, and they had a crazy regular season, but they’re now right back where they were in spring: playing less than the sum of their parts on troll soloque drafts that obviously make no sense.

Makes me sad, I’m a fan of many of these players.

I hear C9’s roster next year is gonna be Sniper, River, Quid, Tomo, Eyla.

They didn’t really mean that whole “LCS on Live Patch” thing.
