Yes. Third-party and local elections is great and something I wish I could see more of. But if you don’t have a significant share of any state or local legislature anywhere. Don’t appear on most State ballots let alone even half of State ballots, and are running a national campaign. Your goal isn’t to promote the left, change, or anything. Your goal is to divide the left and disrupt any change from taking place. There’s no other good, logical reason to do it.

When it comes to change at a national level. It would make a lot more sense to have a green party endorsed Democrat primary candidate. A socdem dem etc. Or gasp! Show a little solidarity and all get behind a single candidate to actually boost and give them the best chance. I know there wasn’t much of a primary this time. But it’s not something the left has done ever. Say what you will about right wing voters. That it’s some reptilian brained fear response. But through their solidarity they’ve been able to significantly hurt themselves and everyone else. But solidarity is a word many on the left have never heard.
