Slag glass is thick. I guess Mr. True’s skull is thicker.
That’s what these are called!! Thank you, my family had one when I was a kid and I had no idea what to refer to it as.
In case you’re curious, the one in the picture I posted is in the art nouveau style but the one in the comic looks more like arts-and-crafts.
Note the floral decorations versus the simple geometric shapes.
That was a nice shade, Condo makes it look substantial in the first frame. Love his style. I think Mrs. True may be his avatar, occasionally.
The author was far ahead of his time with these.
