Isn’t a vice president in the US just a backup incase the president croaks? Do vice presidents have any real power?

If a bill hits a 50/50 tie in the Senate, the VP casts the deciding vote.

Speaking on this, I believe Harris has done more tie breaker votes than any VP in our recent history as well.

Traditionally they are pure PR and help the president look good. They have very little weight in terms of getting stuff done.

Because sleepy Joe isn’t a dictator. He needs legislation to execute. Right now, the legislature isn’t in complete democratic control as the House is Republican. When Democrats had a legislative and executive mandate from 2020-22, they passed one of the largest infrastructure bills in US history which created a shit load of jobs. When Republicans got the house, they kept launching investigations in Hunter Biden’s laptop only to find out that he had a massive cock.

Biden doesn’t need Congress to have the DOJ investigate price gouging, which would likely result in lower prices.

Maybe because of GOP majorities waging a war on anything that could be seen in a positive light?

Man, this really got my ire up. It’s a bummer many people think this way. Thanks for the wakeup call.
