That is a bad ass sword. Looks like a heck of a chopper.
This one is ceremonial, but I’d guess similar swords are intended for mounted soldiers to slash at ground troops. The heavy bit on the tip gives it momentum to carry through when you hit someone.
Tip heavy chopper.
