    Good luck. There’s large swaths of the population convinced that human areas should be sterile. They don’t see a problem with this because they’ve forgotten that we’re part of the food chain. It doesn’t just magically appear on our plates.

      Are we even part of the food chain, given that we not only can kill and eat everything except poisonous things but also “make” everything we want?

    I don’t see how capitalism has anything to do with this. Civilization is gonna be industrial no matter the economic system, and there are plenty of instances of socialist countries demolishing forests or polluting rivers for short term gains
