In my opinion, this is a really great book showing the state of digital bioacoustics told mainly through the lense of whale studies. There is a good amount of history of humans interactions with whales as well. I would certainly recommend it.

I don’t understand why you’d need a book for it when everyone knows that if you want to talk to a whale, you shove your ass in the water and fart the appropriate morse code.
