    I used to think Monkey Shines was based on a Stephen King story. And so I thought The Monkey was a remake of that. But no… they are two separate stories by two separate writers.

      SPOILERS The only thing I remember from the 1988 movie was the love scene where the love interest for the main character sits on his face (because he’s paralyzed). That made quite an impression on thirteen year old me lol.
