      Bigotry is literally due to western colonialism in many places in the first place. How many instances of what used to be a cultures version of queer people were erased and demonized by colonizing nations in history?

      A lot of cultures used to have third genders and even might have thought highly of them, having them be shamans or other prestigious positions

      This is the core philosophy of social conservatism. They don’t want to fix problems, they want to give you someone else to blame and stoke up your anger while telling you they will punish those people.
