I’m currently trialing a couple of hi resolution music streaming services - Quobuz and Tidal and I’m interested in Atmos music releases which are becoming more and more common. Tidal definitely has the edge of Quobuz for atmos releases but its also pretty expensive at NZD$30 a month, slightly more than Quobuz and about the same as Spotify premium (which doesnt have atmos afaik). Any one using any other services? Do you feel you’re getting value for money?

Let me know what you think after you try some atmos tracks. I’m curious what you think about the difference between those mixed for atmos and the usual forced-surround-through-all-speakers most amps offer.

You might just change once you hear the sound quality difference between the low-fi Spotify tracks and the hi-fi or “Master” quality of Tidal or Quobuz even without atmos. Spotify takes the cake for accessibility and convenience though.

Most of the services have a month free trial after you sign up with your credit card - just cancel inside the first month and you won’t be charged.
