Fix for issue occasionally preventing Adaptive brightness from activating in certain conditions

Just ran into this issue a few moments ago heh. Glad to see a fix is incoming.

Nothing in the changelog regarding a fix for bricking pixel 6 devices with the Android 15 update… Awesome stuff Google!
