    Isnt the zoom thing untrue on those cameras with multiple lenses next to eachother?

      Oh damn, you’re right. When I made that guide phones with multiple lenses were not a thing, yet.

        Even with those phones with fancy expensive optical zoom cameras, it’s always better to move yourself closer to the subject than to use zoom.

        Your hands are invariably shaky, the more you zoom the less light your camera captures, this means longer exposure and blurred noisy photos.

    I try to avoid the dedicated shutter button on my Xperia because the force it takes to push it makes it less stable than the slight touch on the display.
