    Yeah, well… Many non-profit heads (of either party affiliation) use non-profit money (taxpayer money) to give themselves raises and enrich themselves, then lobby the government for bigger grants/handouts, while the intended recipients don’t get any more…
    So some good may come shutting some of them down.

      That’s seriously missing how this is going to be horribly weaponized. Is it abused by some? Yes. Are there thousands of completely legitimate nonprofits around the country that do amazing work in their local communities? Absolutely yes. But those nonprofits also tend to be progressive advocates for those in poverty or minorities, aka the “political enemy” of the conservative extremists.

      The purpose of a law is what it does, and I’m willing to bet what happens is the law is used on dissident non-profits
