India's competition watchdog has ordered WhatsApp to stop sharing user data with other Meta units for advertising purposes for five years and also levied India's competition watchdog has fined Meta $25.4 million for antitrust violations related to WhatsApp's 2021 privacy policy.

    These fines have become cost of business to them. there are very frequent news of fines but nothing improves in this regarding.

      That is just a fine though. They still have to comply with the order or they risk getting booted out by the government and possibly conviction of some executives.
