Even with premium I got a banner for YouTube premium. Due to my ad blocker the banner is empty, apart from the Premium logo, but I still got a banner.
Might be a bug, I pay for premium and I dont get this. Do you use Firefox or something else? Im using Firefox.
I use Vivaldi, a chromium based browser.
Might be worth checking on a different broswer then. That said, I know Google likes to roll out different features layouts, etc. to random users to gauge reponse so could be intentional but i doubt it.
It was just once. Normally I never see it. So must be a glitch or something. But I hate Google pushing as much ads as possible. Also when Chromecasting at a party, if 5 people have premium and 1 does not, everyone has to watch ads. When opening a YouTube video in WhatsApp, I get ads, while having premium. Whenever there’s a doubt, or in a crowd of 100 only 1 doesn’t have premium, it’s ads ads ads for everyone! It’s disgusting. A soothing sleeping video? Suddenly extremely loudly ADS! Thanks Google! Now I can’t sleep anymore. I thought I had premium! Fuck you Google!
I sometimes have to refresh a page to get rid of an ad which sometimes happens even with premium. Both with chromium based browser and Firefox.

I visit other sites too. YouTube premium is only to remove ads on YouTube. Or so I thought at least, lol.

On my phone I use the Grayjay app for YouTube, as it is better then YouTube premium. No ads, no Shorts cancer, built-in sponsorblock, follow artists instead of channels (cross platform), download for offline view is actually download for offline view without an internet connection necessary. And much more.
Pay for premium gives you less than Piracy 🏴☠️ It’s a strange world we live in.
