It’ll be fine as long as nothing is chambered, and even if something was, it shouldn’t generate any heat unless they accidentally reverse the polarity.
They could actually get a bit warm with carbon steel being more resistive than copper. It would depend on the draw the engine uses to turn over though.
That’s the way to charge a technical Toyota.
