So Brendan Eich trashes Firefox, then leaves to make Brave Browser.

Privacy browser Brave under fire for violating users’ trust

The inventor of JavaScript and Chief Technology Officer of the Mozilla Corporation donated $1000 (£630) in the fight against marriage equality in California, it has emerged. -You may or may not agree with his politics, but his politics marginalize his projects, and simply using and recommending the browser may go to support politics you don’t agree with (which may include support of the genocide in Palestine (Philistine)).

Covid comments get a tech C.E.O. in hot water, again. -Favored by conspiracy theorists (a large part of Linux users).

I was skeptical about Linux tubers and their universal use of Brave, as well as the obvious corporate presence in the browsers sub on reddit. My thought was that the tubers had to be paid off. So, when I happened on a thread asking about browsers in the actual Linux sub, I was delighted to see the strong support for Firefox (not that it’s great, but a better option): https://www.reddit.com/r/linux/comments/1h8me60/what_browser_do_you_use/

-Oh, and Firefox is the answer when Linux users accuse Windows of having spyware (hypocricy).
