Aka they don’t want to pay content creators

YouTube TV shows standard cable TV channels. A lot of sports fans use it. This has nothing to do with YouTube creators.

It sounds like YouTube TV and Cable TV aren’t much of a difference in terms of price any more though.

Even if they had everything, this would be way, way overpriced.

It used to be cost competitive with cable, but I don’t think it has much advantage there anymore.

It wouldn’t surprise me if it’s still competitive for a lot of markets, and if it’s not it’s because cable has been lowering prices to become competitive. Everyone I know 15 years ago was paying $300 once you added up TV, Internet, and cell phone bills. Accounting for inflation, that’s $450 today. I heard my grandma was being ripped for $350 a couple of years ago, and she just wanted a single channel. Hard to find anyone under an age that even has TV service, and those that do just want it for sports. At the original price of YT TV it was cheap enough to say why not, at the current price, even if it’s cheaper than cable, it’s now twice as much as I’d ever want to pay for it.

Account sharing is doable for it. Split a few ways I can keep my increasingly mounting misgivings about the service at bay. The moment that changes, however, I’ve never been more poised to drop something in my life.

Maybe, just maybe let us uncheck some of those expensive channels we don’t want or need?

All we managed to do was move cables infrastructure to the Internet. Still the same BS packaged overpriced garbage.

Yep, lowered their cost by offloading any infrastructure or techs.

I use YTV for NFL only. I cancel after every season. I can’t wait until there’s a better option as most content on the platform is garbage.

I was $70 for 2 more years covering every show and movie that exists.

YTV is the Youth Television channel in Canada. Might need to go with YTTV for YouTube Television.

Last time I looked, Fubo was $5-10 more. Hulu live didn’t come with a DVR, that was an upsell. A bit miffed they added ESPN last year and raised the rates by $5.
