Cuba's struggling economy faces another blow. A new law passed by the US Congress in December could result in the loss of trademark rights held by the Cuban government to the Havana Club rum brand in the US.

    The unintended consequences of this might be a slow snowballing until trademark and copyright are dead. Cuba deems that all America trademarks are invalid in retaliation…Russia follows suit. This cascades to all Balkan and then anti-American countries.
