I was able to get some pictures of the ongoing demolition of Space Mountain, which had stood largely unchanged since the park opened in 1983.

As you can see, they are simultaneously renovating the space that used to be Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters. So access is completely cut off between Showbase Theater and Stitch’s Encounter. You have to detour to the main parade route to go around the construction.

Funny enough, Crystal Palace was also completely covered with a facade of a painting of itself and undergoing renovations at the time.
