The Ivy League-educated suspect is accused of gunning down UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson on a midtown Manhattan sidewalk.
Too late, mayor Eric Adams has already acted as judge and jury and usurped protocol.
How?
By perp walking him needlessly surrounded by scores of cops, holding a press conference acting like “we got our man” and thusly influencing public sentiment and the jury pool alike.
Have such stunts been proven to affect jury outcomes? Is there proof that perp walks change the minds of the public?
Am I conversing with Eric Adams alt account?
I’ll take that as a no.
Your arguments are easily disproven by the opposite argument. It’s purely hypothetical logic.
Have such stunts been proven not to affect jury outcomes? Is there proof that perp walks don’t change the minds of the public?
Be serious.
You cannot defend the claim you made. Interesting.
I never said that perp walks don’t affect jury outcomes or change public opinions. You said that they do though, and I was asking for backing for that opinion, as it was a key point in your rather dramatic claim that Eric Adams is determining the outcome of the trial.
Good man
