I’ve been enjoying TLD a lot over the past week or so. Walking over the trestle bridge is always fun(!) but at least it was a clear day this time.

For anyone who plays the game I started in Desolation Point. I’m making a point of not staying put anywhere and to keep moving so I only spent a few days here, and made friends with the bear which almost ended my run instantly, then moved on to Coastal Highway. On my way up to the train track to leave the area I met with another bear so had to go back down and recover for a day and half before finally leaving through the ravine (see picture) and now I am in Mystery Lake. I plan on doing a quick loop around the area and then I’m not sure where I’ll go to next…

Up to Pleasant Valley and work your way out to Ash Canyon via Timberwolf Mountain (now with possible Timberwolves). Get the technical backpack from the gold mine. Ideally you have a moose hide curing somewhere while you do that so you can make the satchel.

So I actually found a moose on my second day in ML and the hide is in the Lake Office cabin while I scout Forlorn Muskeg. Almost walked in to another bear right behind the train carriages but have taken my time and done a loop round the edge and about to head back to the cabin now.

Might go to Bleak Inlet next as I’ve still not visited it yet.

I think the new woodworking tools spawn in Bleak Inlet cannery so that’s worth the trip.
