Unfortunately money also causes a desire to have more money, could be called the “high score phenomena” really… You see or imagine the bext high score above yours and want to beat it… That’s a big part of the hidden curse of money. A Buddhist might call it the hell of the craving ghost or hungry ghost. Wanting more just to have more, never actually satisfied on the level of the house or peace.
Love of money is the root of all evil. Money itself is not, and having enough money does not automatically lead to wanting more money.
Generally people accumulate an excess of money because of their love for money, and that is when no amount of money is ever enough.
Lack of money in modern society does cause stress which leads to unhappiness.
