The estimated number of 3,582 is an average figure for a population that likely ranges between 3,167 and 3,925. Tiger numbers are estimated based on the number of unique tigers captured on camera, plus an estimate of animals that may have not been photographed.

I don’t think some people realize how many people tigers kill every year…

“The Indian government reports that an average of 34 people were killed annually by tigers in that nation between 2015 and 2018, while the United States has seen only nine fatal cougar attacks since 1980.”

It actually looks like not all that many. Sure, there would be more deaths if there were more tigers, but we could also stop encroaching on their territory and have national parks around the world to protect their habitats. Predators are important to the food chain even if they’re animals that could also attack humans.

That is propaganda and very sad news actually. Short story how this happens. Private companies goes in to self sufficient villages.

    1. Bribes (with gov funds)
    2. If fails threaten
    3. If fails violence and murders. Bulldozing villages. Relocation of people to desert regions with no infrastructure or farming land.

Best outcome for the young ? Servants to to tourists that fill the pockets of murderers. Government ,police and capitalists in cohort splitting the profits.

Source , me . I did a study wrote a uni paper in collaborations with https://equitabletourism.org/ many years ago in Madhya Pradesh
