Better late than never, this would have been a huge win to have in place before the World Cup.

It’d be nice, but honestly, it’s a lot of infrastructure and our traffic patterns don’t really require it. A bus or a shuttle wouldn’t take very long and costs a lot less to build and maintain.

I think more than anything we need better use of our bus and shuttle system. Maybe some electric busses.

With as much as they seem to be pushing this, they really need to use that money and improve public transportation. Our city sprawl is incredibly large and our residents need their day-to-day transportation needs met. Most KC residents aren’t going to and from the airport every day, but they are going grocery shopping, working, and going to appointments. I feel like the city is trying to be too flashy too soon. Take care of our basic transportation needs first!

I mean, it would also take away a large amount of income from rideshare drivers. When I was driving for Uber, the rushes to and from KCI were some of the best paying rides, and everyone knew it. While I do like the thought of expanding public transportation in the long-run, especially programs like light rail and electric busses–there needs to be consideration for the people and businesses that currently rely on that traffic.
