    Hmm. Do we know anything about parking regulations on Roman roads and streets? Although, I’m guessing the risk of theft would already be a big deterrent to just leaving your stuff there.

    Illegally parked next to the Circus Maximus, parked near a public exit putting people’s lives in danger, wooden spokes are loose, wood tread on your wheels is beyond limits, no signal indicators, one of your two horse team is dead and you have outstanding parking tickets in Rome, Neapolis, Pompeii and Ravenna. That will be 325 denarii for today’s traffic charges and you will have to visit the regional office for the other traffic tickets. Failure to pay these fines will mean immediate arrest, torture by crucifixion or entry into the gladiatorial games.
