Adams, 64, was charged in September with five criminal counts, including bribery, conspiracy to commit wire fraud and solicitation of a contribution by a foreign national.
In court documents filed Monday, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York said that “law enforcement has continued to identify additional individuals involved in Adams’s conduct, and to uncover additional criminal conduct by Adams,” as part of the ongoing investigation.
He’s currently kissing Trump’s ass; expect to see fed. prosecutors file to have the case dismissed sometime after 20 Jan.
While he does like ass kissing, I think he prefers usefulness. This guy on his way out prolly won’t be that useful.
Trump constantly rails against librul cities (he seems to especially hate Chicago for some reason); my gut feeling is that he would want to have the mayor of NYC in his pocket. Having charges dismissed–particularly if it was done without prejudice–would mean that he would effectively own Adams.
It seems to me that holding the possibility of dismissing the charges would allow him to own Adams. If he dismissed them all, what would be the leverage then, unless there are additional crimes?
Dismissing without prejudice allows charges to be filed at a later date. Kinda like Smith had done with Trump’s criminal cases.
He would much rather burn Adams and then heavily advocate for him to be replaced by a more loyal Republican sycophant.
I wonder how many federal agents they will use for his perp walk?
