She didn’t stay out for long because she’s old, but she enjoyed trotting in the snow and looking around at everything.

      I don’t get to see her every day, but I try to post pics every time to see her! The weather here has been wicked cold or it’s been blizzarding, so I’ve had to put visiting the horses on hold. Today was the first day in about 2 weeks that I was able to see the horses. Can’t wait for spring!

    As someone who’s never dealt with snow, what temperature is considered warm enough for Sandy to play outside?

      It was 30F outdoors today. The barn was about 35F.

          Yeah. Horses can tolerate pretty cold temps, especially if they have blankets on. I don’t do anything with the horses below that, though. Some people work with horses at temps as low as 25F, but that’stoo cold for that imo.

          horses get winter fur. it’s common to have -30C (-22F) in the winter in my country, and people still have them walk outdoors, they don’t mind.
