An anglerfish type of mimic using an item as a lure would be great.
When I encounter these in the next FromSoft game, I will know who to blame
I’m honestly surprised there’s never been a bonfire mimic (to my knowledge- never fully played BB)
IIRC they said, that they don’t want to compromise the bonfire as a safe location. Tho I heard this Years ago, so I might be misremembering it.
closest thing I can think of are the Aldia bonfires in DS2. still normal bonfires, but with a little ‘jumpscare’ surprise attached.
