Glad to see all the returning faces! The trailer is making the show look good and violent – as it should.
Disney’s creative integrity is dogshit. The MCU is overstuffed and meandering. I planned to be skeptical.
But goddammit if this trailer didn’t give me chills. Charlie Cox’s interpretation of Daredevil is quite possibly the best adapted superhero performance I’ve ever seen. I’d have watched this series beginning to end just to see him playing the part, but the tension, the action, the emotion, the score all worked in this trailer.
Despite my better wisdom I am fucking excited.
Does anyone know what is required viewing going into this? I watched She-Hulk but I think Daredevil was also in Echo or something? Anything else?
Hawkeye and Echo both heavily feature Fisk, so those should be watched. Can’t think of much other than that if you’ve watched the original three seasons of Daredevil as well as Punisher. Daredevil appeared in the latest Spider-man and She-Hulk, but those were more like cameo appearances.
Daredevil wasn’t in Echo, but Kingpin was. Kingpin also showed up in Hawkeye, but less than in Echo. Obviously can’t say for certain as I haven’t seen this new season of Daredevil, but I doubt either of those shows would be what I considered “required” viewing going into this one.
Wife won’t let me pirate so I may see it on physical media if they ever release it that way. I’m done with Disney+.
