    Nice to see that. I’ve been thinking for a while now that anyone who markets some kind of physical object should have a sustainable plan for the entire lifetime of he object, from manufacture (including how to handle waste created during that), to logistics (again including whatever waste is involved with shipping it at scale), to a consumer taking one home and opening it, to how to deal with breakdowns (with repair manuals and availability of replacement parts), to what happens to it when most people don’t want it (have some extra level beyond thrift store that tries to match things with the small number of people who still want them), to how it is handled when no one wants it anymore.

    Not all of these steps should be the responsibility of the original producer, but there should be something, and any costs should be priced into the original purchase, even if some are deposits.
