Starbucks did this, at one point you could buy a half body latte in the bathroom of Starbucks while you waited for your full body latte that you just ordered. You still can, but at one point you could as well.
I had this happen with a mobile game ad. It was an ad for Tiktok but was promoting the Pokemon games channel on Tiktok so I was very confused what the intention was
